hey hows it going, i bought a 320gb PS3 awhile back and recently decided i wanted to mod it.
a few things before i continue:
im not completely new, i used to have a modded ps3 and later a modded 360. way back then PS3 wasnt moddable, at least i didnt think it was!
anyway. so now that is, I would love to mod mine! To me, I think its as simple as these two steps:
1) downgrade to 3.55 firmware or lower, right?
2) mod it!
I will be looking on the site for the answers but for now ill ask just for insurance..so..
my questions are these: how do i go about downgrading it? (again, ill be searching the site, so dont get mad if its a FAQ, lol)
and 2) I know of a guy who sells mod USBs for once the playstation is downgraded, but they're around $25-$30.
lol ok im being kind of cheap, but im pretty sure I can do it myself for free. there must be a program i can download onto a USB, or CD, that I can insert into my playstation that will do what his products do, right?
I also want to do it myself because it interests me, when i was younger i loved this stuff, and it was fun. I want to see if I can still do it.
