File manager question

I am asking this question of both you fellas and the guys in gbatemp hopefully someone can help. Tried searching but didn’t quite find exactly what I’m looking for.
I have a slim ps3 with ferrox 4.82 cfw, I have been installing games to my ps3 internal hdd 2 ways. First is ripping physical games with multiman, I put the game in the Blu-ray drive, load multiman and press triangle and copy. This copies the game to dev/hdd0/GAMES
and they are available to choose in multiman backup manager

but not in my ps3 xmb. The second method is downloading a backup in pkg form from psndl and ftp directly to dev/hdd_0/pkg and putting the associated .rap or edat file on a usb. I then use multiman click install package files under the multiman heading in multimans xmb, I click install and it puts me back out to the ps3 xmb and I click install package files under the game heading and install them as normal. I then use psnpatch to patch the rap files, then the games are accessed via the ps3 xmb.

All is well games work as they should. Problem is now I have 2 different places to view my games some in the ps3 xmb and some in the multiman backup manager but not all in one or the other and that is what I am looking for. I tried managuns but can’t get any backup manager to recognize the files in their location dev/hdd_0/game

Which is where the games appear to be saved according to file manager in multiman. I have tried moving files all over the hdd and making them into ISO format but no luck. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this so all the games can be accessed in one place

Any fix for BSOD cuh-1215

Is there a fix as my ps4 stopped working after my house was hit by lightning. It only beeps once and then turns off. I was told by sony that I needed to change the PowerSupply but that didnt work at all. In fact now it doesnt even beep..... PS is there a way to check if a powersupply is dead?

I was in the XMB and then something got deleted i got a pop up message. I'm on rebug 4.82.1 rex.

Cause: my controller was acting up. It's been acting up this past 3 days. It would randomly press buttons. I opened it up and cleaned it up today. It's not doing it anymore.

Do you guys know what could have been cleared up? I don't want to find out it was something important later on.

I had webman loaded and cobra and rebug mode.

Hello Fellas,

I am trying to make an injectable God of War Ghost of Sparta... with the same method which were used for Rayman Legends ( putting demo eboot instead of original eboot) but the problem is i have only ps3 which is on 4.46 ofw and psn barred my ps3 to go online until i update ( what i don't want)

I know PS3 if you put bin and cue files on PSXISO it will run but what about a disk image file? Do i just put it in that folder?

I am pretty new to modding ps3s and have recently downgraded my ps3 slim with an E3 flasher about 2 weeks ago. After downgrading to rogero's 3.55 i decided to turn it off so i could re-assemble the ps3 back together in the case. However, when i turn it on, it beeps with the green light, blue light starts blinking then both turn off until i press power again turning on the red stand-by light. Just wondering whether my problem could be hardware or firmware related so i can possibly get back into fixing it.

Any help is appreciated.

PS3 Super Slim with Cobra ODE. I have several questions.

My PS3 Slim with CFW unfortunately broke down. I quickly took it to a repairman but he said that it's unfixable. I then got sad but ended up looking for a new PS3. No use crying over spilled milk, right?

My PS3 Slim was LOUD. Extremely loud. I found a 12GB Super Slim with a 1TB external HDD for cheap. I have several questions, though:
*Does the game data still install on the console? 12GB seems like a small amount of space if it does.
*Could I play PS1/PS2/PSP games using their PKG format?
*Do the games need to be installed exclusively on an external HDD? Also, what is the preferable format of the game, regular or ISO?
*Is it possible to play PSN games?
*Is it really as safe online as people are saying?
*And, final question, should I get this or find a cheap PS3 with CFW?

Is anyone experiencing any problems with signing in to psn? Whenever I try I get a 80710016. Have tried 2 different non jb ps3 consoles. Internet connection gets success but psn fails.

Converting an SCPH 2504 into DEX mode

Guys,

Can a 2xxx model be converted to DEX?

Has anyone done it?

Some years ago I twice for two different consoles successfully used Baileys guide to convert from CEX to DEX (guide at this link - http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=76528)

I now have a model 2xxx console which I have recently jailbroken using that wonderful 482Exploit (thanks all involved bringing that to us ;)) I would like to turn this into a DEX console and wonder if it can be done and if anyone has done it yet hence the question up there ^^^

RetroArch isn’t reading external HD ROMs?

Hi all,
It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I recently updated my PS3’s and installed the latest RetroArch on them. I’m relatively familiar with the process, but hit a snag when I wasn’t able to get a directory listing for my external HD (dev_usb001), which happens to be the same drive I store my PS3 backups on. If anybody could slap me upside my head and let me know what I’m doing wrong, I’d greatly appreciate it.

NOTE: The process works if I place a ROMS directory anywhere on the PS3 HD, but I’m simply trying to store everything of value on the external USB.

Cobra ODE showing error 80010017 no matter what I do

I just bought a PS3 Super Slim with Cobra ODE, the console itself works fine. It came with a Tekken 6 game and a swap disc of that game (NOTE: I cannot create any other swap discs since I don't have a BD burner. Besides, this one should work fine). The OFW is 4.82 and the Cobra ODE is 2.4.

I have zero experience with ODE since I owned a CFW before. But I nearly always get this error (80010017). When I don't I just get a black screen. I am completely clueless.
I tried every method I saw, using a 4.55 bypasser (and making a SWAP.iso of Tekken 6), resigning and fixing any files (especially EBOOT.BIN) that required it, tested it with ISO Tools (EBOOT.BIN is always valid) yet I always get this error code.

I am also a bit clueless about how to actually turn the ODE on. This is what I do: flip the switch on ODE back and forth, put in the game, plug in the hard drive with the necessary files, plug in the power source, wait for the green light, turn it on, pick a game, wait until it loads, wait for the blinking green and blue lights where I swap the discs and... Error. With every game I own.

I am already regretting the choice of buying a PS3 with ODE. Seriously, what am I doing wrong? Did I miss a step? Is there a method I didn't try yet? Please help me because my brain is going to explode and I don't want to feel like I wasted my money.

My FAT is bricked what can i do?

My CECHG is bricked i think. (cfw rebug 4.82 firmware) My little brother shut it down from the back switch while it was loading the XMB from a fresh boot.

Then i turn it back on and i get ......

-No display at all (HDMI) tried on composite and component (i get nothing)

-Green light only on front (blue light works if CD is inside)

-Ejection works

-Fans work

-Tried going to recovery menu (i've done this before) (i get nothing)

-Took off HDD and i still get nothing.

I think that's pretty much it. I searched around the web and i am sure it's bricked. This is my 2nd PS3

My1st is a Slim with cfw rebug 4.82 and it works so i have that slim as a backup for gaming.

I really liked that FAT though.

What are my options? I coudn't sleep last night. lol

Is my FAT screwed?

Do i need an E3 Flasher or sumthing? ... help guys help ...

Does an easy fix exist?

Hi

To able to play ps2 games, i installed rebug over ferrox. When i tried to install packages on it, it says no empty space. When I tried to open multiman, it freezed. So i think deleting some game data and reinstalling multiman would work. But after deleting 1.5 gb of data, the system still sees 0kb on disk so i can't install multiman or any other package. I tried convert it back to ferrox, but still i can't see any data.

What should i do? Does a factory reset to my ps3 work? Or any easier solution?

Issues after changing setting in PSNPatch toolbox

Dont know if I am posting in the right place, I am new to the website, I recently successfully installed custom firmware on my PS3(MultiMan), along with psninja and PSNPatch.
I now feel a bit of an idiot, I stupidly went into PSNPatch toolbox and changed some settings(install PSNPatch plugin)(install webMAN plugin) and(install xmb add-ons for webMAN), applied the settings and after reboot my PS3 screen says the the system was not shut down properly, some other stuff telling me how to shut system down to avoid corruption or loss of data, click ok. Sounds simple, just click ok; problem is after the reboot my PS3 controller seems to have stopped functioning, pressing the PS button on controller does nothing when console is on, when off all 4 lights flash repeatedly and does not switch on my console. I do not think I have bricked my PS3, just can not figure out why the controller stopped working, if anyone can give advice would be very much appreciated.

Many games not working under last rebug / multiman

Hi!

I’m new to this so please do not get angry if I’m asking something stupid.

I have the latest rebug and toolbox installed. I enabled Cobra. I installed the latest multiman. I didn’t touch anything else. Games are stored on internal HDD.
I acquired some games (same source) and the backups are confirmed to be working for other people. My problem is that most of them are not working on my system. I thought that almost any game should be working.

Examples...

Fifa18 – working
Rayman Origins – the game is loading, I can see the animated Ubisoft logo, after that I’m getting a black screen
Rayman Legends – getting error 800100107 when loading the game

I’m confided that the copies are ok.
Anything I must install or set up? I’ve tried to set BD mirror but that did not help.

Any help would be great!

Hello, well what happens is that today in the morning install on the PS3 the controlconsole and after that and wanted to open the multiman and the screen went black and off several times the console to see if haci is composed and nothing happens
