Are there some PS3 games that you cant ISO??? I just backed up 3 games on my USB, 2 of them work but one of them does not it gives me the error. Is there another way around this? The game that I tried to back up was The King of Fighter 13. many months ago I tried another game Street Fighter 4 it wouldn't let me do an ISO on that either, Has anyone else gone through this?

Need help, don't know what they did to my PS3 at the shop!!
The scenario is like this, I recently bought a PS3 superslim, I guess it has 4.81 OFW.
I have multiman and I can run games that are already installed on it. when I asked the guy at the store, they said to add a new game they need to delete all of them and install all of them again (Small Question: Doing that will my save games be deleted?)
I guess it is because when I open multiman it shows 80010017 error: Can't start this app. Need help on this, I don't know what to do, If multiman starts I can download and install games on my own

PS3 Slim MOBO Casing Perma stuck
hey, so i've been working on this PS3 slim for around an hour and 30, the hour of that time i've tryed spending seperating the screws that keep the MOBO case attactched (the metal parts above and below the motherboard), i've just tryed WD-40 and its completly ussless, the screwdrivers that did work ended up shreading the screws inner layer so that current screwdriver stopped working, is there any methord out there that could help me crack it open? (not literly crack but to get these screws out!)

Need help CFW 4.81 on OFW 4.81 PS3
I'm confused here, and I would like to ask if I can put a CFW 4.81 ferrox cobra on a PS3 CECH-2501B on OFW 4.81. This PS3 was never been opened but I want to play backup games on my PS3. I already downloaded the ferrox cobra in my usb and will going to try and install it but then I saw a post here: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=56205 that says I need a flasher to jailbreak it, now it got me really confused. My question is this:
1. Can I install CFW 4.81 ferrox cobra on my PS3?
2. Is there a difference between installing CFW and jailbreaking?

"Cannot find update information for this title"
I'm on Rebug 4.75 Dex and I cannot update games via multiman...I know there are other ways to get the patches installed but
when I'm on cex I can update just fine through mm. (Games are being backed up from original disc. Mm is updated to most recent.)
All I can find online refers to the issue having to do with the multiman servers being down, but that's not it cause I've had this same
issue with different consoles at different times with different Rebug cfw versions.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?:dontknow:

I NEED HELP!
So, my jailbroken PS3 was working fine before this happened. I was using FileZilla to copy a game (Black Ops III) onto my PS3. Then, my PS3 froze, so I turned it off. When I turned it back on, it showed "Connect the controller using a USB cable, and then press the PS button." But it wouldn't work, BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE AN OFFICIAL SONY CONTROLLER!!!!!!:(:(:mad::mad::dontknow::ahhhhh:(O)(X) XP SOMEONE PLEASE RESPOND!

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!
I just recently used an e3 flasher to downgrade my ps3 fat CECHK01 to 3.55 ofw. From 3.55 ofw i installed cfw rebug CEX 4.80.2, and then installed multiman, psnpatch, psninja, and rebug toolbox. Then I immediately switched over to DEX.
And i need help because evertime i try to use psn patch or even psninja the screen will go black, i still here sound but I just can't see anything.
So I have to turn off the system and then turn it back on to get the screen back.
Sometimes when I open psninja it ends up okay, but it messes up every single time on psnpatch. Sometimes It works when I open psnpatch but Once I click X to activate the screen then goes dark, and I can here the sound of me being in the main menu, but the screen is black.

E3 Flasher not working correctly HELP!!! Noob here
Hi ya'll, I recently decided I'm going to go ahead and try out this whole downgrade of the ps3, so I bought myself a E3 Flash kit paperback edition came with basics e3 linker, ribbon cable for norad the flasher it's self and a case for the flasher I watched many many videos before deciding to do this and attempted it, 4 playstations later to no avail lol that sucks what can I say I'm a noob but I followed all the instructions exactly how it tells me to.
Ok so this is the steps I'm taking
1. check the min version that it's downgradable to 3.55 or lower one barely made that at 3.50 the other cuttin it close 3.20 but the other 2.something and those 2 were norad fat systems
2. take apart the ps3 and install e3 flasher
3. update flasher to make sure its flashes 1down 2 down 3,4,5,6, up alll blue lights light up
4 create dump files upon dump files 1 down 2 down 3 up 4 down 5down 6 down Blue light fills 1 at a time until 8 is full then starts blinking left to right 1,3,5,7 then 2,4,6,8
5. saves dumps on pc file dump 1 dump 2 dump,3
6 compare all dump files with hxd file compare tool
7. validate files with norinspector get all green ok's
8. use ps3 dump patcher which also gives me second validation and then a big green ok no hash fails and hash is enabled made sure it matched 4.75 ect... so no hash errors
9. save patched file to sd card and rename bkpps3.bin then eject sd safely
9. put sd card in e3 flasher and make sure all switches are down 1-6 I hit reset and when all light are flashing again after 30 seconds press the start
And this is where I am having the issue at first I got errors the tf couldn't read or ect.. after correcting all errors I hit start and it takes about 5 minutes to fill 4 blue lights and then just stops hours past and still on 4 blue lights solid 1,2,3,4 and bricks my ps3 I repeated this all to the last step on the next ps3 except this time when doing the flash before starting the flash I restart the ps3 and wait for the error message on the screen and then hit start this time it fills 2 solid blue then gets stuck different ps3 then first??? hours past this time i think i dont want to brick another ps3 this sucks so i wait patiently checking up on it time to time and more hours past it is stuck on 2 blue 1,2 so I press the stop this time in hopes my ps3 isn't bricked like the last one and even hit the reset button hoping the ps3 is ok i then hit the power and the same thing happened as the last powers on then dreaded beep beep beep then turns off.I then think maybe because I need to format the card this time so I reformat the card fat32 all the usual stuff and repeat the process bammm 3rd ps3 bricked lol that sucks I'm running out of ps3's lol it's ok there a dime a dozen I wish an actual dime any how on to the 4th ps3 repeat the same process now during this time may I mind you I have not reached out to any community cause I want to do it my self and save others their time per my ignorance so I spend hours upon hours reviewing every downgrade site there was I can find and let me tell you there really isn't that much sites most of them repeat the same info the other says and then review youtube now that's the real headache so many wanna bees trying to think they know it all, but a few did and they were thorough so I attempted the 4th one well now I'm here so you know what happened 'BRICK" once again ok so at this point I have to de brick these things so I de bricked 2 of them by solder tristate to ground and power stays on but they wont flash back to the back up either or patched same thing happens a few minutes and they stay on the solid blue lights for hours and never complete no errors other than the ones I correct norad not secure enough ect...
I am now at a loss and hope some one can tell me at least why the blue lights are loading up from anywhere 2-4 solid and then not moving forward haven't even got to the point of the e3 card reader cause I can't get to that point so that's not the issue do I need the docking station I saw people doing this raw no other peripherals just what comes in the paper back so are they lying and editing their videos to screw people over, it would seem like it or am I thinking to far into it? I tried different methods between all this like plugging the e3 flsher into the spot the hard drive normally goes I saw that on one video that said "you didn't need those peripherals this is how you do it".... well wrong that didn't workI tried plugging the hard drive in while doing the whole flash process now these thing were a bit experimental I have to admit and that is why I'm mentioning it here. Maybe I screwed the whole thing up also even though I got good dump reads I figured it's not flashing because maybe the ribbon cable is no good and I then since replaced it. I have been at this process now for going on 3 days I'm starting to think maybe I should've just bought one with a cfw but I have jailbroken so many phones and installed custom mods like cyanogen on galaxy and unlocks ect... and no major problems the note was by far the worst one I guess samsungs are strict on the security but still rooted it and installed custom stuff so I'm not totally stupid on following instructions I did everything exactly like I read and watched videos, even tried a few things of my own when getting no where trial and error that's how you learn. But yeah please if some one can help me let me know.

CFW PS3 And Data Corruption
I've had my PS3 for around 3 years now, its a phat model without backwards compatibility and besides its dire need for thermal paste that i haven't got around to repairing it has worked well. I've jumped from CFW to CFW, downgrading to 3.55 and upgrading back, and i never really had an issue until around a 8 months ago. My current CFW is Rebug 4.81 REX running as CEX on both LV2 and Target Type.
When trying to install some free DLC for a game (Being Nuketown for Black Ops 2 after it became free), it never seemed to install and i could never really find an answer. I wasn't too fussed with the problem until fairly recently when i tried to re-install a free theme that i enjoyed a fair bit from both PSN and the PKG i used to use to install it. Both versions just ended up with the theme coming up as "Corrupted Data" within the themes menu, and i honestly cannot figure out why.
I've restored default settings, formatted my old drive, restored the file system, rebuilt the database and restored the PS3 and when that all worked, i swapped out the old drive for a newer bigger one and repeated all the same steps yet still had the same issue.
Ive searched around and only found one thread from PSX-Scene where a user nanito13 had the issue and another user bickered with him and the thread went nowhere.
What im asking here is has anyone had this issue? Has anybody been able to solve this issue? Is there some issue with free PS3 themes that require some sort of .rap workaround? (I did try verifying the free theme with ReactPSN and had no luck) and for good measure, would anybody be able to test the theme im desperately trying so hard to install to see that it isnt just a problem with the file itself?

PS3 Fat 40GB - No Boot
I've never played a PS3 nor PS4 so I am unfamiliar with normal operations of the device.
With power to PS3, HDMI connected, and power button pressed:
-3 quick beeps followed by a consistent red LED flash
-1-2 seconds - brief operation of the fan and HDD (power from P/S present)
-No image on television, not even a flash
-No activity from disc drive; clicking, etc (or perhaps it does nothing if there is no disc inside?) Unplugging the disc drive ribbon cable did not change the pattern of the flashing lights
-Holding in the power button stops the red LED from flashing to solid. I'm not sure exactly what this does.
-While holding the machine, wiggling it vertically and pressing the power button, I was receiving a yellow light followed by the flashing red light (possible solder connection issue?)
I attempted to find a Sony service manual but I was only able to locate schematics and no mention of trouble code indications. The information I was able to locate online about the flashing red light was not clear. What is clear is an indication of system failure that proceeds to immediately shut down the machine during boot.
I proceeded to disassemble, blow out any dust, clean all components with electronics cleaner, remove excessive thermal paste, re-apply proper amount of paste, and inspect the board for obvious solder issues.
I did a brief solder "reflow" of the most problematic areas mentioned in several forums. Again, I did this very quickly so that nothing was damaged. I did this with a SMD soldering station blow gun set at 260 degrees fahrenheit with a fine tip. The solder on this machine is ridiculously sensitive to heat and softened within seconds (lead free?).
I am going to attempt a more in depth reflow of the main chip circuits. I'm assuming the chips have a tendency to get hot enough to melt the soft solder during machine operation.
Question:
-Is there a specific solder connection on the PCB that is known to lose continuity? Or is it typically random soldering locations near the main chips that usually fail?
-How can I determine if the HDD is at fault?
Any other information would be appreciated.

Help identifying SMD component on ps3 controller
Hi guys.
Im new here, and came to ask for help identiying a component in the mainboard of the controller. This is the second controller that has died on me.
The first one, the big IC basically exploded (i think it was the gf connecting a bad usb cable), and i just discarded it.
This one however, is weirder. The controller will work fine using USB, it will even charge the battery. But as soon as you disconnect the usb cable, the controller will power off and wont turn on again.
When i opened it, this small smd component was heavily sulfated. It ate up the pins of the component, and part of the track beneath the pins. After cleaning the sulfate, the component practically removed itself.
I dont want to get a new controller (again), and it should be simple to repair this as soon as i know what that component is.
So, i marked the component with red, using a picture uploaded by other member. I know the 2 top pins connect to ground. So, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Gran Turismo 6 how to update for people with CFW ?
hi hax members , i'm having a problem with Gran Turismo 6 where it takes forever to update with the patches i got with PS3 GAME UPDATER V1.52. It is a known problem from what i've seen and googled. I have seen some Youtube videos of people getting the updates to work with some methods but these are people with a PSN account and i think without CFW.
i have Rebug 4.80 and all the updates in pkg form , i was wondering if there is a method to update for people with CFW ?

I was able to reflow a broken PS3 I bought off Craigslist for $15, and found that it's a CECHE PS3 with a COK-002 NAND motherboard on firmware 4.76. Since the OFW 4.70 backup injection method doesn't seem to work for me (error 80010006), I've decided to purchase the parts necessary to downgrade it, but since I don't know how long this PS3 will last, I want to keep the costs as low as possible while being able to potentially do another downgrade easily if this one dies completely. So far this is what I've come up with.

- In Bailey's Downgrade Guide, it looks like the diagram for the Teensy to 360-clip is for the red board, but the red board seems to only be sold with the 32pin 360-clip, not the 48pin one (green board), yet the 48pin is the recommended one? Is there a diagram to connect the 48pin board? (NVM, I found a diagram Bailey made buried in his thread).
- Is it better to get connect the Teensy to the 360 board using female jumper cables or to solder on the wires? If using jumper cables, would the gauge/AWG matter? I saw it was recommended to use 28 AWG wire for soldering onto NAND boards (26 for NOR), but I don't have that. I do happen to have some old/broken power supplies, and in doing some research, a lot of power supplies seem to use 18 AWG wire. Would cutting those wires and soldering them on be sufficient or would it be better to get a spool of 28 AWG wire such as this or the jumper cables like this (which happens to be 26AWG)?
- Speaking of power supplies, looks like ATX power supplies have 3.3V lines. Could I wire the MB to this line or is it recommended to do the PS3 PSU -> Step-Down Regulator -> PS3 (I have a APS-226)?
- In connecting the power to the PS3, does this power the NAND, Teensy, and 360-Clip? Or does one (or more) need separate power (it's not too clear in Bailey's thread)? Looking at the diagram from Q1, looks like the 360-Clip has two 3.3V pins to connect. Do you need two separate PSUs or something? Do I solder on the 3.3V regulator to the Teensy to power it through USB?
- If I were to get the step-down regulator, then would it be better to get a set of all types of jumper cables (but unknown AWG) or do I simply strip the wires I have and solder them on?
- What is the best/safest way to cut the 360-clip so it can sit better on my NAND board? I was thinking an exacto knife, sandpaper, or a dremel tool would work, though I also found this file thing, which may work.
