Error when updating to any CFW

I had 3.55 CFW then i installed 4.81 (not sure of the repack but it was CFW).
Then i reverted to 3.55 (that 4.81 was bad).
After that i upgraded to 4.66 (current version on machine).

Now whenever i try to upgrade or downgrade to any CFW i get this error: "Data is corrupted (80039CCA)" before even starting to upgrade.

What i tried:
-Normal upgrade to 4.81 Habib
-Normal downgrade to 3.55 with 999 downgrader
-Recovery menu upgrade/downgrade.

All system if working fine but i cannot upgrade to any version.

Guys I really need help, i just got Payday 2 for my ps3 but whenever I open it, it just makes my ps3 unresponsive and it gives me a black screen. I really want to play that game! Anyone can help?

PS : i use Multiman 4.22 i guess

CECH3k - shuts down in 40sec flat

maybe this is pretty normal for 3k models but I'm trying to stay clear of non-downgradable units and never seen this on any other piece so wouldn't know - but have got these two 3k models by a chance so,,

tried to turn them on and they are acting up and their symptoms are pretty similar - in a way - first one shuts off after 40sec flat, no lights,, have tried to change everything from power board to PSU to cables etc, weirdly enough it turned on simetimes - complaining about software so I tried various ofw's but it gave me all kind of different errors midway the installation that I have never seen and then froze,, after that It went back to a 40sec shut off,,,
the other one acted similarly but the HDD light was on constantly ,, I have managed to run that for some time too , no HDD got recognized but I fixed that by replacing the port, after that it was all good and it asked for a fresh ofw but after some time went back to its 40sec shut off , very weird

anyone working with these models and seen that ? thinking of reballing southbridge, cos it doesn't really look like GPU to me, but then again ,,,

1-can i jailbreak it?
2- i have only access to (teensy 2.0++) it can be done with that?
3-it is nor or nand?

God of War Asension game cache

I've installed this 43GB game onto my internal hard drive and noticed there's also a 8GB file in the game cache folder. Do I need to keep this or can I delete it?

PS3: CECH2101A Rebug 4.81 Cobra freshly installed

I ported game ISO I had from my other ps3 this this one, and when I went to load one up from multiman, the game needed to install data to the hard drive after starting (expected).
Instead of going smoothly, 14% into install game data, I get screens like this:




This is all I can get, even recovery mode is like this.
I cannot control the menus at all

I can get this for 7 seconds, but then it ends up like the others (here I can choose yes or no, but it then looks the same as the other pictures and controller becomes useless):


Any suggestions?

Blu-Ray playback

Hi all,

I've been going crazy trying to play BD discs on CFW. I've used Habib's Starbucks and Rebug (all latest versions).
I've used the suggestions from http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=81337 to no avail.

I can hear audio when the blu-ray loads, but I get no video. This is with all discs. Am I missing something? Do I have to go back to OFW to play BD-DVD?


EDIT: I'm answering my own question! After checking this article out, I managed to find the BD menu in my PS3 (hint: need to disable Debug mode in Rebug toolbox!!!)
Disabling 24p did the trick, apparently my old LG monitor doesn't play nice with these things!

Ps2 laser problem

Hi guys,

Recently I ordered a new laser for my ps2. (Old laser had trouble with booting the games)
It worked but I got the following problem.
When I boot gta san andreas it loads the game, but when I try to leave the house it won't load any further.
Opened the ps2 up again and the laser is trying to read the end of the disc. The laser is visible but doesnt load the part of the game.
I hear the disc speeding up, speeding down and up again. The old laser didn't have this problem. (But had the problem of booting the games in the first place, takes a few tries.

Hope any of you guys can help out :)

Positive/Negative point from breadboard to E3 Linker

Just wondering if there is anyway instead of soldering ground to external power "pin 1" and 3.3v power to external power "pin 4" on my E3 Flasher then connecting it to +/- on a breadboard.

Instead of this what is shown in picture, find corresponding point on E3 Linker then solder E3 Linker point to +/- on breadboard??? and what would they be on the E3 Linker, not comfortable soldering to my e3 flasher main board

Mass Resigning

Okay guys, this is my first post here, i will keep it quick and too the point. I had a FAT ps3 since 2013ish it had a very very old email account linked to it on auto-sign in. I had a problem with the ps3 and had to soft reset it, but doing so logged me out of PSN. I lost the email years ago so was no way of getting back into the account (losing 2 years worth of PS plus downloadable content) but all my saves still worked (i just couldn't access any online features.) I logged into a new PSN and can no longer load any of my saves. After contacting sony, posting on the official forums (here is the link)http://community.eu.playstation.com/...s/m-p/24874816 and other things i came to the conclusion that the only way i will ever be able to play my 5 years worth of saves is a mass resigning to the new PSN i created (crunchy roll, why did you call my name so) however i am completely lost with this stuff and was wandering if anyone could help me out?

Has anyone encountered a bad usb port on a cechl01? I have searched for a replacement and all I can find are complete motherboards in ebay. Also wondering if maybe it's possible to just change the port inside the housing? Or maybe someone knows where to get replacement parts. TIA

4.8 downgrade with teensy

i'am welling to buy a teensy to downgrade some ps3 's all of them are on 4.8 i couldn't find any tutorial about downgrading this 4.8 with teensy is it the same process? what do i need else except for the teensy ? to i need a dongle? because i have some bricked ps3 i want to use fsm on them do i need a dongle to do it with teensy ? wish dongle should i buy on ebay and what hardware to else do you advice me to purchase

hello (1) i need a site where i can find a good versionof (24:the game) iso ,beside(emuparadise-coolrom-theisozone-romhustler-romulation) (2) i got syphon filter:omega strain(iso) and syphon filter:logans shadow(iso) although both use different engine both have he same problem ; the weapon they hold always comes out of their head toward their shoulde,AI issue! any one can help plz?

MW3 Crashes my CFW and shuts down Console Data Utility Error in Save

The game will shut off the PS3 and make the light blink red. It's not over heating and all other games function as they are supposed to. I have tried DL, Disc Copy and ISO, same error.

ps3updfw01.24:invalid filename in dev_hdd0/blus30838/

dear community

one day i tried to log in my psn and got the error code 8002A224
i used google to search a solution but not found anything.

as i remember i only used LTS Tool which has anti-ban eboot and cant explain why now this errors shows up.
I read something about that my PS3 or PSN acc is banned, but my friend gave me his PSN, so i added him some money on gta and his ps acc is not banned.
already tried to log in with an other psn account from me and still same problem

Hi guys


I have been looking into information, so I can downgrade a PS3 myself, since my last PS3 phat YLOD.
I have my mind set on a PS3 slim model CECH 2504 datecode 0D cause those are the "youngest" models that can still be hacked.

Since I have almost no soulder skills at all I was thinking of the E3 flasher, however I find some information which contradicts.

  • Is it true E3 Flasher does not require any soldering? Cause some guides mention soldering ...
  • Can I use the E3 flasher more then once or not straight out of the box? I would also mod a backup PS3, in case the first one should die again
