Here are some more modifications to the game resident evil operation raccoon city on ps3 custom firmware.
As you can see ive added the ability to play as Leon, Hunk, Nemesis an lonewolf in the campaign mode
this is possible due to alot of research on what others had done on the pc version, however the pc files are
not the same neither are the xbox360 ones, so alot of testing an late nights were involved.....
by opening the file ''Characters.swb2'' in
DLC/PACK1/CHARACTERS with a HEX editor I was able to mod
the edgemodels, but you can only paste over the same size hex strings otherwise it would say your about to
change the file size are you sure you want to continue, Anyway I will add the files for download here in the
description as always, I hope you enjoy the mods......

Any help on how to modify a SWB2 file extension like a tool for opening an repacking would be usefull, as everytime I try to add claire redfeald an jill valentine it says '' you are about to enlarge the file do you wish to continue'' but when I enlarge or reduce it when it comes time to load the game it wont load...so i can only paste over the same amount of HEX, say change lupo to leon or foureyes to lonewolf....I would really like to play as claire an jill but im getting frustrated theres only so much I know about Hex editing,,,,,

Hi Guys I Buyed New E3 Flasher But When I try to dump it creats me 3 bkpps3.bin files and in the nor inspector i am getting an error

Hi,
I used my CFW PS3 Slim (Rebug 4.80.1, CECH-2504B) very casually playing games off the internal HDD and never going online. Problem now is: While playing the PS3 would freeze and give me an error that it needs to check the filesystem... which only loops and loops, checking again and again. I found a post that mentioned to check the HDD with "HDD Regenerator". The HDD had plenty of bad sectors and I repaired those. PS3 can boot again.
But how should I proceed from here? Can I somehow backup my account without going online? If that's not possible, whats the best method to go online with a cfw to just do an acc backup? Should I do any other backups (related to CFW functions) besides the regular PS3 backup function?
Thanks in advance, it's just to much to read up if you're a casual like me.

Hello, so I changed my motherboard and now im trying to remarry the bd. I wasnt abel to toggle qa with a original cfw so I edited the rebug 4.81.2 with the cfw builder for nobd. Now everything works and I got toggled qa. I found a few cfw in the forum with bdemu but when I try to install them I always get ""data corrupted (8002f828)". I am able to installl without any problems the clear rogero cfw 3.55.
Current CFW REBUG 4.81.2 NOBD
PS3 PHAT CECHL04
Any help appriciated.

Is 4.55 OFW downgradable without the E3 Flasher now or no? I have a first gen ps3 and I had it hacked before then let me brother have it and he upgraded it to play online like a ****** bag. It's been sitting for awhile and now I want to get back into the scene. PLease and thanks.

So I have a jailbroken PS3, installed a 1tb harddrive and then installed HABIB Starbucks Corba 4.81 or something like that CFW,
I have 3 questions:
First: Is it possible to play online without getting banned?
Second: If I get banned does it mean I can't access PSN account anymore on that console even if I create another account\install oficial firmware?
Third: If i get console ban does it mean I lose my jailbreak and can't install CFW\play backups on the console anymore?
I'm new to PS3 scene and would like some help.

I recently bought a JB PS3 D-Rex 4.75.3 from eBay. It was listed as "Online Ready" and already had BO2 copied onto the HDD along with some other game, but he went ahead and put MW3 on the HDD from a torrent before he sent it, so I assumed the system was setup for MW3 which is about the only game I play and the reason I bought the PS.
The problem I am having is that the HDD copy of MW3 would crash the PS3 when connected to PSN. By crash I mean it shuts off the console and I get a blinking red light. No game freeze during gameplay, just complete shut down and blinking red light. According to they system and CCAPI the console is not over heating. It is set to stay at 60 degrees max and according to the system, it is not over heating.
So, I suspected a corrupted game on the HDD. I deleted it and copied from a Brand New disc with MM. The previous owner when I asked him of what I should do told me do not put a disc in the drive, but the "expert" he recommended to me to help with MW3 modding told me it was ok so I proceeded with the game copy, but I then had the same issue. Game would shut down the console. Then it was suggested to me that I might have a bad HDD. So I replaced it and repeated the process. Same result. BTW after some tweaks this "expert" did via TV, the game also crashes when offline and the BO2 game that the previous user said he played all the time was unable to connect to PSN network, which is just a side not as I do not play it but it may be helpful in trouble shooting.
I did some reading about D-Rex 4.75 and specifically mentions specific setups in order to run COD games. It mentions that with Cobra enabled the system will not "fully support" the game unless it is reading it from and ISO due to Stealth mode. Is this true, or am I misunderstanding something. I am very "green" and this is my first CFW system.
Can someone with experience with setting up and operating this game on this version of CFW please guide me through what I may be doing wrong?

I can't get Assassin's Creed Brotherhood [BLES00909] to work
I keep getting "There's a problem with the disc you're using, It may be dirty or damaged" on internal
and white screen with music on external hdd
I also created ASSASSIN_ISO folder inside USRDIR
but no luck :

I have been having some problems for the last few days and my head is completely fried!
I have a slim that I downgraded with 999. I then installed 3.55 OFW and from then D-REX 4.81.
This is the problem in question,
Rebug tools shows
System: DEX
LV2 DEX
I can connect to PSN no problem and use my Serendipity SPRX menu.
BUT!
Whenever I try to delete syscalls with Webman or patch with PSNPatch the LV2 DEX changes to LV2 CEX and this then stops my SPRX menu from working.
I have the 2 boxes next to CID and PSID ticked in Webman and changed 82 to 87 as before when it was set to 82 I would need to spoof LV2 Kernel to CEX in Rebug toolbox before it would allow me to go online (I had to do this on EVERY startup). I was able to go online before with the SPRX menu. But now I have games installed that I have used ReactPSN to activate so when I changed my LV2 at startup it would inactivate the games.
I tried to change the LV2 setting to CEX then install the games but the still deactivate.
Seems I'm completely stuck here :(
All I want to do it protect myself online withough the LV2 setting changing from DEX to CEX everytime.
As it sits I have my PS3 working perfectly (besides this issue) all games are activated correctly and the menu works (providing I stay on DEX LV2) but if I go online I'm not protected at all and I will most certainly get banned sharpesh.
Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks
UPDATE:
I also have a CHCHA00 fat that's doing the exact same thing as the slim. That started of its own accord! That console was on CEX before if my memory serves me correctly and it was converted to DEX then updated to REBUG 4.81.

hello guys ..
so my short story here
yesterday i installed my e3 flasher for the first time of my life , and my reaction was priceless when i have done it correctly
from the 3rd try ,i have the patched 4.81 OFW and downgraded to 3.55 OFW (Regro 3.55i think)
i tried to run QA so i can install CFW 4.81 rebug but that somehow didn't work
QA stuck and gave me frozen black screen with no buzz
i tried to install Rebug 4.81 d-rex directly but the data were corrupted
so i had to install MLT 3.55 noBD 9.99 and run QA toggle again
so i can insall the CFW
and the QA toggle tool worked but CFW rebug 4.81.2 didn't
however i tried to install REBUG_3.55.4_999_DGR_PS3UPDAT.PUP
and that's is when **** started
the update failed and gave me an error i tried to boot up the ps3 again but i can't
corrupted data (error 8002f169) update failed
it says please unplug ps3 from power or contact support
i tried to access ps3 recovery mode but it didnt work.
so what have i done wrong ?
and most importantly how can i fix it ?
(i still have patched back up in my sd card for e3 flasher / and clean unpatched backup just in case )

Strange problem, yesterday went to downgrade a CECH-2503A. First dump was not successful due to clamp not being seated correctly. Tightened clamp a bit more as it was not enough pressure (was loose previously)
Took another dump, checked to make sure it was perfect, absolute no issues what so ever. Patched dump to PS3.
Put Drive/HDD back into console, replaced thermal paste with artic silver 5.
Went to turn the console on, it booted perfect, but no signal/hdd/usb activity at all. Green light stays on permanent. When holding off button it beeps after 10 seconds then shuts down. No recovery menu
Anyone got any ideas?
Anyone? Still lost

Hello everyone,
I am aware that its not possible yet to install CFW on super slims as OFW 3.55 didn't exist on super slims, u cant downgrade it to 3.55 OFW.
Is there any hope for these consoles in the future? Any Possibility? :frown:
