Downgrade with a broken bluray drive?

So I had a dead unit (CECHA01) sitting in storage at my place for 2 years now. I finally bought some cool soldering equipment and I wanted to fix something.
After a few minutes fixing this dead unit, I got the console to boot but I noticed that the Bluray drive wouldn't read discs. I then downgraded it to 3.55CFW, de-hashed it and updated it to 3.75CFW.
I never worked on a unit with a broken drive before, but after reading online, people with broken drives are unable to update, yet I was able to update successfully to 3.75CFW. What does this mean?

I apologize in advance if this has been asked millions of times before but i used to have a cfw ps3 a long time ago (during the dongle era) and am considering getting one again and wanted to ask if it is possible to play online PSN using cfw or not?

PSN Games error 80010007 & 80010017

Dear ps3hax,
I am having issues with PSN Games with local licence,
When launching PSN games I get error
80010007 - With Cobra disabled
80010017 - With Cobra enabled

I was on Rebug - 4.76.1 Lite Cobra enabled...
I started getting error message 80010017/80010007 for every new PSN game installed...

Things I tried,
1) Resigning every eboot
2) Reinstalling pkg
3) Changing the firmware (4.70 Rex,4.65 Habit, 3.55 downgraded too!!)
4) Restore File system
5) CEX to DEX, DEX to CEX, change TargetID to US

These took some courage
4) DELETING ACCOUNTs (then create new..try....fail) After deleting the accounts and creating new one, the


5) REBUILD PS3 DATABASE (some PSN games were on external GAMEI and so they were gone...)
6) FORMAT THE HDD!!

After contributing a whole day to this and numerous Google searches.... No Solutions..

The problem occoured when I got the official PlayStation Store (with CFW disabled by PSNpatch) this is the only reason that makes sense..

And It changed some way the activation is supposed to work...

PlayStation Store is deleted but still the problem persists..

So as a result I have come to the pros to help me with this dilemma, because many people are having this trouble so any help would be appreciated..


This is only for educational purposes and after all this dedication please help me find a solution...

I have used thread above for OFW 3.55 its about 3 or 4 posts down on media fire and it does say it is 3.55 in system menu.

Then used the rebug REBUG_4.75.3_D-REX_PS3UPDAT off the site with link provided and renamed it to PS3UPDAT.PUP and saw it, but when i clicked on it it says data corrupted what am i doing worng.

Hey Guys, Hoping someone here with a little more experience can help me figure out whats wrong with my Nand dumps...

I've done several ps3 slim NOR downgrades with a teensy2++, this is my first try on a Fat system (COK-001 motherboard).

it was damn tedious soldering to the nand legs but all solid and seemed well the chips were detected fine and made dumps of both Top/Bottom nands

here are some screen snip of the cli output during nand read:

Here is where i run into trouble, when i try to use Flow Rebuilder to unscramble and merge the nands, it out puts this error,

PS3 Slim Boot and Power problems

Hello all. I have PS3 Slim datecode 0C. The problem is something like a blue screen. When i power on the console, it's showing the first time launcher, Sony Make Believe bla bla, settings for video, time zone, internet connection and user creation, then is showing boot screen and after that blue screen with "setting information is corrupted. press x to repair and restore default settings". I tried to install 4.76 ofw, and after each request for restart, it's give me black screen. Now i have 4.76, still the same errors, i have tried 3 different hard disk, i removed the battery from ps3 motherboard and put it back again, no difference. The console can't power off normally, just give me black screen. I tried all options from Recovery menu, none of them work properly. Any ideas?

Hello, I completed career mode of NFS the run but most of the cars are still locked some require online game play to unlock which is not possible when ruining CFW is there any way to unlock all cars ???

Question about DLC

Ok if i am to get DLC where would i put it (guessing the installation folder in the game data) and does any DLC work such as EUR, US or JAP versions work.

Must say i done a lot of reading sort of figured it out nearly.

Okay i have a question now i kinda got one as its just another .pkg and then install rap files but the question is can you convert the DLC to the region of your choice.

Another question since i have rebug 4.75.3 REX if i switch my account back on to the PSN store to get some of my DLC that i paid for and some free ones. Will it work or will it ask for updates.

Hello everyone!

I tried installing Metal Gear Solid HD from the .pkg I downloaded, but when I try to run it, I get the message "An error occurred during start operation (80029537)". I'm new here, so I'm running 4.75 Habib and the lastest version of multiman. Not sure if I have anything else installed (bought an already modded fat PS3).

Hello everybody!

I have a big problem on my hands. I have a PS3 Fat and someone did something here that i can't play with disk.

Here is one photo: http://i.imgur.com/feeYfn1.jpg

The place that should appear the game disk is always spinning, and there's a folder that i searched on Google and it's something about unblock ps3. (i think)

I never did nothing with playsations, so all that vocabulary and other stuff are new for me!

When i press X on the folder appear the error 80028F14.

I used all options on Maintenance and nothing result.

I just want to put the ps3 like original, but, i need your help!

WebMAN MOD is a fork of deank’s webMAN, by M@tsumot0 & aldostools. It follows webMAN’s releases but adds several additional features. Among these features are lots of additional translations by default, that use modular LANG_XX.TXT language files so you may modify them or add more yourself. Including but not limited to XMB/In-Game Pad Shortcuts that disable CFW syscalls; gameDATA; toggle Offline Mode; toggle PS2 emu, Cobra, & Rebug/Toolbox Features; and to Unmount games. Compatibility with OsirisX's PS3XPAD plugin was added in v1.42.03. Recently version 1.43.07 added an optional VSH Menu which can be installed by holding [R1] when launching the webMAN-MOD updater.

Like it’s mother, webMAN MOD also has multiple plugin builds with varying features that you can choose to use. Should you not need support for extra languages you can slightly reduce webMAN MOD’s memory footprint by specifying the path to “webftp_server_english.sprx” in your "/dev_hdd0/boot_plugins.txt" file. If you don’t intend to use features like PS3netsrv you may further reduce it’s size by using “webftp_server_lite.sprx” like with deank’s Official webMAN. Alternatively if you want to use PS3MAPI, webchat, noncobra, or REBUG you may use their respective .sprx plugins instead. If you used the installer/updater.pkg, these plugins are located at “/dev_hdd0/game/UPDWEBMOD/USRDIR/”, however if you choose to install webMAN MOD manually, everything you should need will be found within “webMAN-MOD_1.43.xx.zip” at “./updater/pkgfiles/USRDIR/”. Also contained within the archive is the latest prepNTFS for webMAN-MOD.

Hi forgive me if this has already been covered elsewhere, anyways long story short, borrowed game from mate, PS3 ( Slim CECH 25xxB CFW Rogero 4.55) wanted to update before play so I let it, yeah stoopid I know, now on OFW 4.76. Any way back to any CFW without having to reflash? Any help greatly appreciated, TIA

anyone has the same cfw using? looks fine on nba 2k16,gta v ang some old games.. will going to try some other games again.. the only prob i saw is the fan control on the latest irisman, it seems my "by user" custom fan speed doesn't work at all. before when i configure it i can go on 63 cpu and 59 rsx while on idle but now the idle is 66-67 cpu and 61 rsx

if multiman has a custom fan speed i will really choose multiman tho

Hello

I've a rebug 4.76 and I've installed the toolbox. I've also an external 500gb drive. I can only see the games in iso format that are in path ....\ps3iso. I've also a folder galled games. And games also inside but not show in mmcm. Can someone help me?

About Swap Disc

Hello everyone.

I'm using PS3 SuperSlim 12Gb. (I have already installed 250 Gb. Hdd.) 4203A with Cobra Ode 5.30 (I think firmware 2.2 must be). PS3 verison is 4.66.

When I bought my Cobra-Ode they gave me with BCED01063 - PlayStation Move Starter Disc as SWAP disc. I'm using 2 disc method by blinking lights.

My question is, shoud I re-write another blu-ray disc for swap disc for new games?

Or is there any option by downloading games as folder version and make some changes on them.

When I try to make iso for my external drive ex.fifa 16 or any new games converter says "This iso does not contain any EBOOT and does not not require to be converted."

What can I do?

BRICKED PSP 3000 HELP (Flash0 deleted)

Hello .

Yesterday, i picked a PSP 3000 used . It was hacked, but VSH menu didn`t work . I installed 6.60 and still didnt work .

I installed LME 6.60 and i was able to access recovery menu . I togled Flash0 USB and was thinking that by deleting all files from it will fix the issue :dontknow::rofl: .
Before that i`ve seen there is still some usage in Flash0 (35 out of 40 MB i think), so that means there was some hidden files that i didn`t delete .

Is there anyway to unbrick this PSP ? Green colour is on, but screen is off and after 10-15 seconds it shuts off .
