[HELP] HOW TO REVERT BACK FROM DEX TO OFW??

Hi everyone, i'm a noobie in need of help.

i have a FAT PS3 model CECHE with DEX firmware (REBUG 4.66), since i'm now more interested in going online, i want to revert back my firmware to the official one.

I've tried install the OFW 4.66 but it keep saying "THE DATA WAS CORRUPTED" (i download it directly from SONY website)
i've tried both ways, from recovery menu and from system update.

did i miss something?

NTFS Drives

Hello. I'm using PS2 Classics Placeholder for playing PS2 games. Today I downloaded 2 games, both have size 4,5 GB(exceed 4 GB to I can't put it on my pendrive without formating to NTFS). So I splitted file using PS3TOOLS, unfortunately both games don't work after I merge file on my console. So the only way is to format my pendrive to NTFS, but then my pendrive is not readed on my PS3. How can I make Multiman read NTFS pendrive? Can someone help? =-D

Hello,
I am new in this forum and have a problem. I have PS3 Slim and it's a 3K model. So its not possible to install Linux. The version 3.66. So now i am wondering if its possible to delete the PS3 firmware and just install Linux?.

NTFS Help with Irisman and Multiman

Hey guys I been searching and reading, and it seems that the new Irisman and Multiman can read an play games off external HDD in NTFS Format. I only want to do this because that drive is also for my 360 and all my backups are on there too.

What I did was download Irisman and Multiman and PrepNTFS. I got the PS3 to read the drive, and it sees it. I have a Gamez folder for the ISO's but when I go into any program it doesnt show the ISO's Everytime I go into Multiman then MMOS file manager I goto the direct folder, and then the HDD folder and the Loading Icon just sits spinning. When I go into Irisman it shows there are no ISO games. When I goto PrepNTFS it goes to black screen then it goes back to XMB and it shows in top right corner " Game quit: No request Event " So Im not sure what I am doing wrong.

I had the games in fat32 format I suppose on PC and used PS3 ISO tool to create an Iso of the file. Then I dragged the ISo from pc to my Gamez folder on NTFS external HDD. But like I said, they do not come up or show up anywhere on PS3.

What could I have done wrong, or can do to fix this issue? I know Im sure this has been asked But I simply cannot find what I am looking for, so I am making this thread. Thanks guys

accidental update ofw over cfw downgrade not working

hello,

i have a ps3 slim model cech-2103a, it was flashed and worked with Rogero 4.55 , but my brother made an update by mistake too 4.66 ofw, now i read the nand again with e3 flasher and when i try to patch him with PS3 dump checker ,show me that dump is already patched, Now if I try to Install Rogero 3.55 downgrader in safe/recovery mode the console is freezing when it checking the update, need help to downgrade my console again .

Hi everyone
My name is abdullah and I am new to this site
I have been reading alot about ps3 and Its jailbreak and cfw here on ps3hax.net
I have some questions
I wud really appreciate it if anyone can help me with my doubts

1.can a ps3 on Rogero cfw 4.55 and multiman 4.66 play all the ps2 games?
2.can a ps3 on Rogero cfw 4.55 play all the ps3 games which were released back in like 2010 2011 and 2012
3.psnstuff v 1.8 has psvita games in it with .pkg extension does this mean we can play psvita games on ps3 or use these pkgs somehow in psvita itself?
4.what Is meant by c00 games???
5.can we play ps3 games from a 32gb sandisk formatted in fat32?
6.why is there always people asking or links given for cfw 3.55 fix everyone nowadays uses the 4.xxx cfw?

Please help
the thing is I am going to buy a ps3 and jailbreak it with rogero 4.55 so I need to know all the Info I can get for the ps3

i bought my ps 3 from a pawn shop
i diddent know this ps 3 was jailbroken.. i upated over it..
now its cfw 4.66
i notiched that the ps 3 was jail broken because a program called comgenies awsome file manager on it and there like 10 acount on the ps 3 system whit all kind of message's frm people can u give me hack link and omg u a hacker and that kind of bull****

what can i do to restore it back the way it was i dont know what i must do

BLUE ray read disk but wount eject CD

Hello,

I have issue with BD. When I insert CD it reads it properly but eject button is not ejecting it, it just make two quick beeps.
However I can eject CD in option on the screen. What can cause the problem with eject button? is it BD fault?

I have 4.50 cex working with multiman I downloaded batman arkham origin but it tells me searching for trophies and then 100℅ then black screen and when I quit ps3 restarts what could be the problem and how to fix and thanks :smile::questionmark:

Multinand-360 help

Hello,

I tried the multinand-360 tut from luniqous the last days.. I did a few nandwich pic installations in the past, but the new one with the atmel chip is much more difficult i thought.. Ive no experience with atmel programming, just with the pic controller..

I thought theres maybe someone in here who knows how atmel studio works and may help me (and all those otheres who wants to install sth like that to their console) with the pinout and usage?

Would be really happy about some replys =)

PSNDL Database v0.3.1 + PeXploit Custom Database

OK guys, here it is. I've spent the last week or so updating the PSNDL database to v0.3.1 with many new games.

Things I've Done:

- Added new content
- Cleaned up many duplicate listings and fixed mislabeled and misspelled listings.
- Labeled games with bad .rap files

Things To Do:

- Add more content
- Clean up more listings and descriptions
- Alphabetize content to be organized on startup

I've also put together a custom database for use with PeXploit that contains the properly already patched files needed for OFW users to use with the games on the latest compatibility list which I've also been working on this week. Everything is tested and working.

How it works is, when you click the Download RAP button, instead of it writing a .rap file to your computer, it will write a .pkg or .rar file containing a .pkg to your computer. No running around trying to find fixes on file hosts. All fixes needed for games in the compatibility list are obtainable in this custom database.

Guys I tried to downgrade my Slim Ps3 with an E3 Flasher. I took the dump out and checked it but the PS3 Dump checker said its BAD. The errors that I got were two : ROS0 AND DATA MATCH CHECK. I tried searching online and I read that its ok with those errors I could continue with patching the dump so I did. Then I put it on the Ps3 but after the completion of the process my Ps3 went bricked!!! Now my Ps3 is bricked and wont stay on. I need help please. :(

How many people who visit these forums have had a chance to run these two emus? From what ive read it wont be far off before commercial games are playable on both emulators... Don't know how powerful rigs have to be but I could imagine ps3/360 exclusives upresed :smile:

Green Flashing light during FSM pup install

im downgrading a phat ps3 nor and first time ever when using fsm to install the pup green light flashed then notepad file states an error and wont let me keep going, but it goes fine in and out of fsm and even show the connect controller screen, any ideas why this may be happening ?

i have used same usb before, same package ( from baileys guide) this is the first time for me

Upgrading hard drive on CFW 4.6

Hi all,

I've got a ps3 with CFW 4.60 and a 160gb hd in it. I just purchased a 1 tb hard drive to upgrade to it. What exactly is the procedure? I had tried using hdclone as per another post with somebody who swore it worked but that was unsuccessful.

Do I need to use rebug or something like that? All my searches seem to say to use the ps3 backup utility but I'm not sure thats for CFW and I don't want to accidently lose my jailbreak.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
