cant play backups
i recently updated to rogero 4.41 with multiman 4.40 and since then i am only able to play one backup. Ive switched the game settings from bd mirror to direct boot, different combos but no luck. any help would be great.

I'm new to this, have done a bit of research and this is to pretty much confirm a few things before I spend some money and time.
A mate is going to sell me his reballed ps3 60gb cechc02 3.55 system.
Is this system good for upgrading to cfw 4.3x.. And if need be is it possible to downgrade back to ofw 3.55?
I have games that range 3.xx - 4.3x
Can i backup them onto a external 1tb portable hdd and play from that.. Will all games work no matter what fw version they are? And can I store game save points as well as full games on the external hdd?
Any help greatly appreciated

Issue loading from disk
I am having an issue loading directly off my retail disk of BO2.
When I start the game it crashes saying "Connect the controller using USB cable, and then press PS... The system software cannot be run correctly. Press PS button to try to restart the system...."
Now what is weird about this is that last night I could load directly from the disk, but I started having problems after I attempted to install nuketown zombies using react PSN.
Once I loaded into the game it would not play saying it needed to verify trophies.
After that I began having many issues including Mm not reading my WD My passport but majority of those issues are now fixed.
I installed the zomibekillah uploaded BO2 Files and now I am getting this error and reboot everytime. I have tried loading from XMB and selecting directly from Mm both ways it wont play my disk version
Relevant info as follows: Rebug latest, MM 4.40 base, reactpsn 2.26.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled all of the above, even tried previous versions. problem persists.

PS3 Phat blinking red light
So I was playing The Last of Us when the fans on my 40gb PS3 Phat started going crazy. I took the console apart, dusted it, and reapplied some thermal paste. The console's fans still went to "stage 5" when I started playing Last of Us so I took it apart again to add some more thermal paste to the spots that were not covered well after screwing the motherboard back on the heatsink. This time the console powered up for a second, then shut off almost instantly and the red light keeps blinking. Is this the dreaded YLOD, or is this something else? Should I try and reflow next or is there a simpler solution to this?

250xx 3.6+ downgrade on 4.46!
Hi,
I downgraded a 250xx 1A console on OFW 4.46
now I know that I cannot go back to 3.55 on such consoles so I patched my dump with three maskters , flashed it, all went good
now it says connect controller. I tried every CFW but nothing works!!

WTB Hackable/hacked PS3
I live in California, and I'm looking to buy a PS3 that I can install CFW on, or that already has CFW. Preferably with a 320GB HD, but a 160 would be doable, as well.
I'm tech savvy enough to be able to install CFW myself on a compatible virgin system, though I am completely new to the PS3 hacking scene specifically.
I'm not really sure what kind of price PS3s tend to sell for in a community like this one, but I figure that the bare systems up on eBay for $140 right now make for a decent price barometer (I wish I could link to it, but I'm too new to do so >_<). I'd buy from there, but I obviously can't return the device if it turns out to not be hackable, and according to the wiki, it seems like some CECH-25xxBs aren't.

Hey there. I just got my ps3,it's second hand and it was already rooted with rogero 4.41 and multiman. It's a phat one.
Now don't get me wrong I rooted many android phones and installed cfw on them and such but this ps3 puzzles me...
For starters I gave a game folder, not the games one in witch I copy my games that I get from torrents. This game folder on hdd0 has 20gb of data. Is that normal? Can I delete anything from it?
Second, why do games that I copy in the games folder install stuff when I first start them? I was thinking that I get them already installed when I dl them.
Third, how do I delete games from my internal hdd? The person that sold me the ps3 said to just delete the game folder in hdd0/games.
Fourt,is there a way that I can free up space? I believe that the previous owner/owners did not really know what they were doing and I'm guessing they have tons of save game data and user profiles on here that I don't really need.

Bluray Drive CECHA01
Anyone have a spare drive lying around in a closet or something? Was going to grab one of Ebay but they're like $60-$70 plus shipping and the boss (aka my wife) said it's a no. Even tried the whole going after a new ps3 in hopes of haggling my way down to the drive (which usually works) but still a nadda. With the kids and the wife going back to school for her masters, there's just nothing left.
I actually need a whole drive. The guy I got the ps3 from tried to "repair" the drive and broke the tiny, little, yellow power plug that goes from the drive to the logic board.
Anyways, just thought I'd ask. Flame away if you must, but please be kind.... :p

Downgrade ps3 with e3 flasher to remarry blu ray drive?
Hey guys , I recently picked up a ps3 with a broken blu ray drive. I assumed the seller had left the original in it but after changing the blu ray logic board into a new drive I quickly realised it wasn't going to be a simple fix. After a little bit of research I decided to order a E3 nor flasher to downgrade the ps3 to 3.55 ofw to remarry the drive. After doing a little more research I found out you need a married blu ray drive simply to downgrade. Bit of a catch 22 when it comes to this situation. Looking for any advice on this. I'm now 90 quid down onna ps3 I originally thought I could sell for a profit.
A little bit of info on the system , it's a 80gb cechk model and its downgradable. Please tell me all my money hasn't gone to waste

For those wanting to get the 400days DLC(PAL/PSN)
If you cant wait another 2 days for the PAL version or you got the PSN version or like me you have both problems, going on vacation and PSN version here is what you do!
For those with BLES version or the PSN version,install the DLC files, install the DLC patch 1-2 and fix, then you need to look up the id of the game in hdd0:/game/BLES 01833 or hdd0:/game/NPUB30741 then just move the files from hdd0:/game/BLUS31144/ basicly the 106 files from the pack folder and the 106 key EDAT.. you should probably move some new trophy files but i did not do it and it is running right now, displaying the Special ep! will test soon then sleep! good luck!!! WORKS!

Converting PS2 Classicss Placeholder savedata (.vme) on PC?
Is there a way to convert the file scevmco.vme to be playable on an emulator on the PC?
I have been playing Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix when I was stopped by the Tron Boss bug. I want to see if I can start from the save state, beat the boss and then save on an emulator.
Also, would it be possible to convert the save from the emulator back to PS2 Placeholder?

Hello + clone question.
I recently bought a PS3 slim (CECH-2501, manufactured Oct 2010). Beat Demon Souls and planning to play the Metal Gear Legacy collection. After that I'm planning on flashing it, although I'm a little clueless. Already glanced over the sticky and the ps3devwiki.
So I'm looking at E3 nor flashers right now. Are the ones from China that are potentially clones safe? I see one on ebay for cheap and I need to get rid of my ebay bucks.
