Game Update Vs System Update

hey everyone,

First post here. I'm having a helluva time finding information on my question: The difference between a full system update to a game update.

Here is my example:

I have Motorstorm Apocalypse installed to my 3.55 Kmeaw system. I ran the udpate command and it updated the game to 1.06. Did I accidentally update the System update now? I noticed that is says 3.70 in the system settings/info tab. However I can still play all my other games using multiman no problem. I've attempted to put the patched eboot.bin file but it prompts the system to update to 3.72 and says i'm at 3.70 so a system update is required... blah blah,.. do you want to update to 3.72. I obviously said no.

Would a 3.72 + spoofer fix this issue?

I tried deleting the whole game folder and reinstalling it from my original disk but it still registers as 1.06. From what i read on the game compatibilty list:
"For v1.0: Requires PKG file or modified eboot. Install v1.1 update will downgrade eboot to 3.50. Updates works up to v1.03; v1.04 requires 3.60 FW. Delete 3D movies and 50Hz PAL movies to free 10.3GB diskspace."

Any help would be Greatly appreciated.

It sounds like i'm screwed. Is there a way to undo a Game update?
