Playing games in 3.55 kmeaw without a game disc

Hi,

I have 3.55 kmeaw on my ps3. Whenever i have to play a game installed in it, i need to have any game disc inserted into the ps3, else the game i need to play wont work. I tried inserting a movie disc, but it wont work. Is there a way to overcome this. Please help. Thanks in advance.
