Heres the scenario for my Phat.
Its an RSOD unit, works with PATCHED RSOD firmware great, such as rogero 4.40
After 2-3 days of playing a game will black screen or trophy data error will occur.
Cant delete trophy data with hidden menu in Rogero ( 80022D90)
Tried changing user profiles, deleting manually from HDD, doing all the recovery options, etc..
The only way i found to fix it is to downgrade to 3.55 using rogero downgrader, then go to 3.55 rebug and pray i dont get an RSOD in the process. ( sometimes it happens)
When im on rebug sometimes i can go right to the debug menu and "Delete personal trophy data" Then immediately go back and reinstall Rogero and it will work again for another 2-3 days.
I have my workarounds for now, but its a huge pain in the ass and usually takes an hour to two out of my day whenever my wife wants to play. ( I dont even play the damn thing) I would have her do it, but its 3 SD cards and i dont want her screwing anything up.
I have a second PS3 im going to send in to be flashed so i dont have to deal with this crap every day.
My question is.. Is there an easier way to "delete" this trophy data?
Im new to PS3 homebrew world, but is there any kind of recovery that can be done via root/restore where i can save a state and revert to it. ( thinking of nandroid, TWRP, Clockword from the android world where im much more familiar- i have a Samsung NOR CECH Fat system not a NAND one)
I would stick with Rebug if they could do what Rogero did and offer whatever patch he did to "bypass" the RSOD.
Im aware fixing the RSOD because its my NOR chip is the solution and bypassing it is causing all of this, but is there anyone out there that knows what i can do to make either
* A: the ability for Rogero to delete trophy data without an 80022D90 error
* B: the ability to patch or customize Rebug to have the "RSOD Bypass" that Rogero has.
I care NOTHING about trophies. ZERO.. If i could disable them alltogether i would. I never go online with the PS3 and could care less. We just use it to play games from our external hard drive because we dont want to burn out our blu-ray drive and hate slow loading times.
Edit: This guy sounds like he has the same issue as me: tortuga-cove DOT com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=127&t=4729&start=10
Only answer he got was to resolder a new chip and flash with Progskeet- which id rather buy another PS3 before i do all that ( which i did)
Similar thread, only i found a fix on my own.. but now im trying to make the process easier:
