Key:Questions
Hey guys.. I honestly do not know where to start from :( but I will give it my best shot "/
I "had" a PS3 Slim CECH-2001A running the PS3ita 4.21 (latest release i believe)
I converted it from CEX to DEX using the Rebug toolbox. After not being able to go online I decided to but the PS3 from DEX to CEX so I can install 4.21 Rebug on my PS3.
Little did I know, I went to rebug toolbox and converted the PS3 back to CEX. Pressed O and went back to the XMB
Pressed the power button and then I heard beeps out my PS3 I never heard, I already new it was something bad :(
There were 2 beeps (one high beep, one low beep) and as a pair they beeped 5 times. (I've seen this issue online and everyone say 5 beeps, so lets just go with that)
Quickly done some research and found many people in same situation as me where they were converting from DEX back to CEX. I also saw people had really easy solutions to fix it.
I attempted to do those solutions but none worked :(
The only difference between them and me was the fact I was running PS3ita "/
Things I have attempted:
-Recovery Menu [FAILED]
-Factory Service Mode (FSM)
with TI-84[FAILED]
with PS3BREAK[FAILED]
Recovery menu simply does not work, First beep is fine but right after its followed by the 5 beeps and system is shutdown
FSM did not work, right when I would press Power + Eject the PS3 would remain on for about 1-2 minutes and then the 5 beeps and the system turns off
So guys, Now What?
I have my E3 flasher still in my PS3
After not finding anything relevant to my problem, last option I came to was to unbrick my PS3 using my E3 flasher. I still have my original dumps (but I can not recall what FW i was on when I had them)
But only thing stopping me is that I read a tut (ill upload PDF below) and it said that I had to solder SBE point on E3 softboard to Nor Tristate.
Now my second Question to you guys is, is the soldering necessary? I didn't solder my E3 flasher to my slim I had to just clip it in. Does the clip make a difference or i have to do this soldering regardless?
Thanks guys
