Okay, so i have a PS3 here here (fat original cecha) that every time it is turned on the fan goes from cant hear quite to jet engine loud in about 15 seconds after start up and then i get the PS3 overheating message in the corner and it shuts itself down. so far i have tried to reflow it, i removed the IHS and the old thermal adhesive and applied new thermal adhesive, changed out the whole fan assembly, put more pressure on the GPU/CPU, tried a new power supply and tried starting it without the fan plugged in and none of that has worked. does anyone have any ideas of what might be the problem or what might solve it? could it be a bad temperature sensor? ive really only heard of bad temp sensors in Xbox's. i know it is a possibility thou.
