There is not that much going on in the Xbox section so I thought that I would post some pics of my console.
This is the first Xbox I bought, I have always owned PlayStations.
I only wanted an Xbox to be able to debug my XNA games on a console.
The console had RROD and cost me £10 including the 20GB HDD and cables.
I fixed the console and it had a very old dashboard.
I read up on the mods available and decided to fit a Jtag.
The console is an Xenon so I decided to take precautions to prevent the RROD from recurring.
I fitted heatsinks from a Jasper console.
Then I decided to make the DVD drive external and put a 120mm cooler master fan in its place.
I soldered two 12v molex connectors to the board for the fans.
I bought a used Xbox HD DVD player for £12 and ripped the HD DVD drive out without even testing it. I then modded it to fit my Xbox DVD drive and got a 12 sata cable and extended DVD drive cable.
I then decided to cut a window to see the LEDs from the fan lighting the inside.
But the white fan duct looked stupid so I had to replace it with a clear twilight LED duct.
Then the black fans stood out so I replaced them with clear whisper legacy LED fans.
I then decided to spray the console black and paint the chassis green because I like black and green.
I also replaced the ROL with darker green LEDs and modded my pad to look similar.
The CPU and GPU never get higher than 55 even after a few hours and I only have the fans at 70%.
Altogether it has cost me around £90
