Hello everyone,
I was on Rogero 4.40 v.1.03 and was upgrading my HDD to a larger one. I switched the HDD's out and then powered the console on- it asked for the system information via USB to install on the new HDD and I put Rogero 4.40 v.1.03 on the usb and it began.
At the end of the install (which happened without any problems), it loaded up with the regular PS3 loading screen. Upon looking through, I noticed that the toolbox was missing and it didn't seem to be downgraded anymore.
I checked the system settings and the system says it is on 3.72 firmware. I'm not sure HOW, since that was never on any of the usb sticks I used.
Is it possible for this system to somehow default back to an OFW? When I try to upgrade via safe mode, it shows either that the data is corrupted or not compatible with the system. In the XMB update, it shows Rogero 4.40 but I have not tried to upgrade from there. I'm afraid of a brick in doing so.
Any thoughts on this? I'm really at a loss as to what happened. If it is on an OFW again, since it's above 3.55, it would have to be jailbroken with a hardware flasher, correct?
Any help would be appreciated.
