Hello all, I just saw this part of the site and thought I'd give it a try for some advice - I have a Wii (soft modded with homebrew channel, cios, ect) and the disk drive died on it. I have a lot of game discs (legit games lol) That I would like to play but can't anymore, unless i get cfg usb loaded and back them up, do it that way, but that seems kind of silly.
I was wondering what I should do for now, here are the options:
1. Send it in for repair, see if Nintendo cares i hacked it to all hell, lol
2. Send it to some 3rd party for repair (an individual or repair place on the net/gamestop)
3. Replace disk drive myself (youtube tut seems easy, just dont trust my skills, lol)
4. Get a whole new wii (one with gamecube support still)
5. Get a WiiU
What would you suggest? I might be leaning towards getting a WiiU (might wait for a price drop) - could i still use homebrew channel and cfg usb loader or wiiflow or something? Whats the scene like there?
Thanks for any advice!
