I've decided to give up the PS3. I haven't given up on the scene, I just believe that it's sleeping, but I just despise consoles. I've decided to go with a gaming PC (attached in case anyone else wants to use that configuration) that I hope will last me a very long time.
I'll still stick around just because of my love for this site and the hardworking developers. I'll also still be getting another PS3, but I doubt I'll use it much. I've had a PS3 (CECHK01, later traded for a CECHA01) since January 2009, and I've been following the scene since. Every little *.tif exploit, every rumor, Paradox ISO Loader (now making TB EBOOTs) PSJailbreak, BD-Java, Linux distros and exploits, everything.
To all the people who think the scene is dead, It took the PS3 4 years to be hacked. Every second of those 4 years, everyone said there was not a scene and that the PS3 was not hackable due to its high security. Come December 29, 2010 (skipping dongles here) the PS3's keys were discovered, opening us up to a world of homebrew. What I'm trying to say is, patience is key, and I'm tired of Sony screwing me over with new firmwares and console defects (the latter is mainly the RoHS though), therefore, I'm going to move to the best gaming console of all, the PC.
tl;dr - I'm leaving for good and the scene is permanently dead. Good luck finding anything. Bye.
