Hi, my friend has two PS3 slims both identical models (including the motherboards). We tested both slims with the same HDMI cable and one of the slims does not work in 1080p whatsoever, it only works in 1080i. However, the other slim works fine.
We've tried different cables with each PS3 as well, all of our cables are fine it's just that specific slim is having problems in 1080p.
On the cheap HDMI cable the affected PS3 does not work at all in 1080p
On the better quality HDMI cable the affected PS3 flickers every 5 seconds in 1080p mode.
(Both of these cables work fine in the other slim)
I was wondering if there's a way to fix this or some sort of solution? I've already downgraded it and put Rogero 4.40 CFW v1.02 on it.
It was having HDMI problems prior to opening as well.
Can anyone help me with this?
