need advice on 80010017 error

Hi, I have a PS3 slim unit that was giving the 80010017 (unable to read disc) error. I replaced the laser assembly myself, and the machine worked great that first day, I played it for about 9 hours straight. Shut it off, and the next day, same 8001 error!!! it won't read blueray movies either. but it will play a music cd. what happens now, is I start the unit, get to the dashboard, insert the game disc, it does show the small window with the animation of the game I inserted (so does this mean it IS in fact reading the game disc?), but when I select to launch the game, the system reboots itself, and gives that 80010017 error. :questionmark::questionmark::questionmark:
I'm SO confused! LOL. anybody else have this happen?
