New to the PS3

Hello out there.
Totally new to the PS3. Looking at one to buy that has Firmware 3.55 and Model number CECHA01. From what I have been reading its a PHAT unit.
Came from factory with 60 GB Drive. Has a 500 Gig drive in it now.
My question is has it been jail broke?
Like I said I am totally new to this.
Much better at the Wii.
