PSP/PSX gamesave on PS3

Hi guys.
Not sure if this is a dumb question but I'm going to ask it anyway.
I've been playing a PSX game (Final Fantasy VII) converted to run on PSP
Is it possible to port my gamesave over to the PS3 so I can play it on my backwards compatible PS3.
I own an original copy of the game too.
Is there a method how to do this if at all possible.
Anyone have any info ?
