newbie help. ps3 4.0 jailbreak. easy installer does it exist?

we have 2 year old 40gb ps3 and have decided to jailbreak it now.

my current firmware is 4.0

i find some instructions very overwhelming and im just a newbie in this.

is there a best way to jailbreak my ps3? the best hack method?

i used to own a psp and was able to jailbreak it with an easy installer? does it exist in ps3 as well?
