I bought the e3 limited edition about 2 weeks ago. For the first 2 weeks the e3 sata station worked perfectly, except for a few times where the ps3 couldn't detect the hdd and I had to restart it and the e3 sata station to get it to work. Since yesterday the detection rate got much worse. The HDD is only detected about 1 time out of 10. The rest of the time the Read LED don't even blink and the hdd is not detected by the PS3. I've tried with 3 different HDDs, same thing...so I'm pretty sure it's not an HDD issue. When I remove the e3 sata pcb and connect the hdd directly to the ps3 motherboard it works everytime.
Anyone has similar experience with connecting the internal hdd through the e3 sata station? Could it be the esata wire? Some people were saying that the front panel for the pcb prevents the esata wire to make good contact with the socket, but I also tried plugging it in without the front panel...same problem.
