Ps3 Phat 40gb won't accept disk accept....

Hello i've got some problems with my ps3 40gb blu ray drive cd disk won't catch it, but when im inserting half a disc onto tray and when i turned the console on the disk straight away inside the blu ray. very strange problem all i want to do is turned off the console then insert half disk then hit the power so that i can use and play the disk...

*edit eject button is working
