I have a CECHL04 80 GB with Samsung K8Q2815UQB-PI4B NOR chip. I made a mistake initially of not looking what nor was and dumbing with progskeet with the spansion one selected. I checked the file, it passed all tests from the wiki page, i patched it and tried to write it back. It was ok until the process of flashing where it hanged at 0%. I powered off the console to look what chip do i really have (i know that it was a stupid mistake of me, i had to check from the beggining) and now my console is showwing me the blinking red light.
Then i closed the r7 and r8 to power the progskeet and nor only from usb, and tried to flash again with the correct chip selecte this time. But it hangs a lot at erasing addresses. If i remove the usb and reinsert it, it passes the erased addresses from the last time and continue to erase but it hangs again. If i do this more times it manages to erase all the blocks, starts to write the flash but then it fails every address at verifying it. i tried with all the combinations of options i the write tab.
Now i have a few questions if anyone could help:
- is the nor image dumped different (not ok) because i selected another chip or it would be the same if from the start i woul selected the right chip (bear in mind that it had passed all tests from the wiki page)
- why keeps hanging at erasing ?
- why it doesn't write ok ? i verified the connections and it's all ok (should i resolder all to check ?)
And a request: in case my dump is trash, could someone post a correct dump that i could reflash to start over (in case my wirings is wrong and is writitng ok after)
