I have a previous thread here which discusses how I got to this state. I wasn't getting any unbricking help, so I decided to create this thread specifically for it.
Anyway, here is where I am. I have a CECH-2001A Slim PS3 with the E3 Flasher Fast Dual Boot mod, as outlined in this tutorial. You can read the thread I linked to in the paragraph above if you want to see how far I got through the dual-boot mod.
So currently, if I put my e3 into Flash Fun mode (100000) and boot it up, it will spin its fan vigorously for a few seconds, and then calm down considerably. There isn't any video/audio, and there doesn't seem to be any HDD activity. After a short time (less than a minute), it will automatically turn itself off, never giving me the chance to attempt to start the flashing process. If I turn it on and press the START button on the e3 before the ps3 turns itself off, then I get a 11000010 error on the e3, which apparently means "PS3 is operating NOR, E3 Flasher cannot operate at the same time" according to here.
Isn't preventing this automatic shutdown specifically what the soldering of the tristate is for? I've checked and everything seems to be soldered correctly. Regardless, is there any other advice someone can give me with regards to unbricking from this state? I'm really bummed that I managed to ruin my ps3 after thinking I had everything lined up, so there's plenty of karma waiting for anyone with the winning answer!
Thank you very much for reading through my post and for any help you can offer.
